Parent Child Aquatics
Parent Child Aquatics is a 6 week class is taught with the mission of educating parents on how to properly teach and reinforce basic water safety and swimming skills to their children ages 1-3. Parents are required to be in the water with their child for the class. The class relies heavily on the strong bond between parent and child to ensure the child feels confident and comfortable enough to learn basic water skills before they inevitably take swim lessons in their later years. Children who take this class are much more likely to be more comfortable and willing to learn during future swim lessons. Children at the end of this course should be able to be reasonably cautious and curious about exploring their swimming abilities further while also achieving basic swimming skills such as learning how to kick, blow bubbles, float on their backs, and safely enter and exit the pool with the help of a trusted adult.
